Zugverbindung Kunming - Hanoi

Weiß jemand, ob die neue Zugverbindung von Kunming nach Hanoi schon fertig geworden ist? Habe gelesen, dass sie bis 2015 fertig gestellt sein sollte.

There used to be a twice-weekly metre-gauge sleeper train from Kunming in China to Hanoi, but in 2002 floods and landslides damaged the Chinese part of the line and the train was discontinued. However, a brand new standard-gauge Kunming-Hekou railway line has finally been completed and as of December 2014 trains are once more running between Kunming and the border town of Hekou. It's now possible once again to travel between Kunming and Hanoi by train, safely, comfortably and affordably, albeit using a Chinese train from Kunming to the Chinese border town of Hekou, then a taxi a few km to the border post, walking across the border and on to Lao Cai station in Vietnam for a Vietnamese sleeper train to Hanoi. Was der Mann auf Sitz 61 bereits schrieb. Zwischen Kunming und Hekou verkehren täglich jedoch fünf Züge, die für die Strecke zwischen 5:48 und 7:18 Stunden benötigen. Siehe dazu hier.
