How attractive is Europe for Chinese tourists?

Hello everyone, I don't know if this is the right place for this request. I'm really sorry if it is not.

My girlfriend is writing a master thesis about what attracts Chinese tourists in Europe. If you are a Chinese resident I would kindly ask you to complete a survey which is part of a thesis. Thank you in advance for your help.

How? or WHY?

ME (German) with chinese parents in law: Basic reason of attraction: visiting famous historical places (europe is full of them) even having no clue and no background what they see and what is the past, constructor, inventor of that place.

Whenever I try to convince them to go hiking in some mountains, to explore other (not popular in China) landscape, i hear a NO !

2nd reason: excellent shopping possibilities (better prices than china) for popular goods: from french fashion to German Kitchenware.
