In diesem Fall an alten chinesischen Münzen.

This appears to be some kind of 'Taoist' amulet or, less likely, ghost money. So much can be said with no further background information available. Such texts are often combining two or more graphs in one, mirror-imaging or duplicating graphs to make up forms non-existent in actual writing system but allegedly comprehensible to ghosts and spirits. Graphs often have to be read in unusual sequences, say bottom up and left-to-right. Insofar as the graphs are concerned, my very uninstructed guess would be 陳曾 (bottom up, a name?) 告天 (left-right). 天 is actually represented as 日天 (mirrored), possibly to account for the moving of sun across the sky. Needless to say, this is a fairly speculative reading.
Best wishes,
Maxim
