Beitrag von

Moin moin,

Kommt deiner Deutung also sehr nahe

Hier, was meine Frau dazu zu sagen hat:
It means "a snail running like mad" -- it is a new popular drama recently performed in Beijing. The plot is about a young man whose face was destroyed in a car accident. He has consequently suffered a lot of difficulties, and eventually he gets through it, but on the way he learns a lot about life, relationships, money, etc.

The "snail" is the symbol of the young generation of Chinese people who live in modern/big cities, suffer from the enormous pressure of high property prices, job competition, etc. All these stresses and burdens are just like the heavy shell and we poor little snails not only have to run with this heavy burden on our back, but also run like mad to avoid lagging behind all the other animals. We are running and running, no one single second we dare to stop to rest. We hope eventually we will reach a happy life....But at least there is a hope, we already feel so lucky compared with the last generation, who were running in complete darkness without hope.

I don't think you comfortable European kids can understand how much bitterness and feelings of helplessness are expressed in this drama, how weak and tiny every individual feels compared with the 1.3bn people around him, however, how much hope we still have towards reaching a better life tomorrow.

o verstehe. Das macht die Sache etwas klarer. Danke deiner Frau vielmals ijontichy.

einige Leute sagt 狂奔的蜗牛 um Helpless zu meinen.
